- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the hot sauce, honey, and Cajun seasoning; whisk until well combined.
- Reduce heat to low and let the mixture gently simmer, whisking occasionally, until it thickens and becomes syrupy, about 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before using.

Simmer the sauce long enough for it to thicken and the flavors to meld; a thin sauce won't coat as well.
Adjust the heat by using a milder or spicier hot sauce, or add extra honey for more sweetness.
Let the sauce cool before handling; it is best served warm over wings or chicken tenders, or at room temperature as a dip.
Store leftovers in a sealed mason jar or airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Freezing is not recommended as it changes the texture.
For a smoky twist, try a chipotle hot sauce or add a pinch of smoked paprika.
This sauce also works great as a glaze for grilled pork or roasted vegetables.
