Jack Daniels’ Butter Steak – Frankie Cooks

A simple recipe for a NY strip and a lovely sauce, you’ll need: NY Strip Jack Daniels Butter olive oil Allow your NY strip to come to room temp, season both sides with salt and pepper liberally. Sear both sides in a ‘stick’ pan – or a non-non stick pan, please don’t use teflon, we want the steak to stick, after 3-4 minutes of searing it will unstick, and that’s when you should flip it. After searing both sides, Put pan in a 375º oven for 5-10 min Remove the pan from the oven and steak from the pan, add Jack Daniels over a high flame. be careful not to pour directly from the bottle as it can cause an explosion. pour from a smaller receptacle. If you’re on a gas stove tip the pan forward for a flambé effect. Scrape the ‘sucs’ or brown bits off the bottom of the pan, add cold butter Pour the sauce over the top of your sliced steak, serve and enjoy!
